About The Role
We are looking for an aspiring Teaching Assistant to join our team supporting our SEND pupils from October 2021, fixed term until end of the academic year 21/22.
The person we appoint will have a love of working with children and the ability to inspire learning and support development. They will have high expectations of themselves and of children to enable every child to be fully included and to reach their potential, whilst showing initiative and adaptability and be committed to working as a member of a team.
This is a diverse role, primarily supporting individuals and small groups and may include supporting teaching and learning as a class teaching assistant.

Please note that this position is dependent upon external funding and should the funding be withdrawn the contract will also terminate

We are looking for someone who
- has experience in all primary school key stage areas
- is flexible and values working in a team.
- is passionate about teaching and has a really good understanding of how pupils learn
- has previous Teaching Assistant experience
- has NVQ level 2 or 3 in Child Care and Education/Supporting Teaching and Learning or an equivalent qualification.

This post is term time only, Monday – Friday, 8.30am – 3.30pm

Tymberwood Academy is a two form entry Primary School & Nursery on the outskirts of Gravesend, not far from Bluewater Shopping Centre.
